Inclement weather is predicted for our area (see our previous post shared from US National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard). Regularly check vcemergency.com for safety information and weather-related updates. Some important information from the site is listed below. We will add major updates about our area to this post.
Evacuation warnings are in effect starting tonight at 6 p.m. through tomorrow until 10 p.m. for the following areas due to the potential for flooding and/or debris flow:
• Matilija Springs area
• North Fork Springs Road
• Creek Road/Old Creek Road
• Camp Chaffee area
Sandbag supplies are available at Ventura County Fire Stations. Residents will need to fill bags with the sand provided. More information is online: bit.ly/vcfdsandbagsdirectory
Prepare and stay safe during the storm.
• Enable alerts on your phone and sign up for VC Alert (register on vcalert.org) to receive time-sensitive, emergency notifications from Ventura County.
